Re:  Account of John M. Doe; Account Number 12345678910

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing to report that you did not properly credit my account with the payment I sent you last month (June, 2019). I sent you a payment of $160.00, but my statement indicates that I made a payment of just $60.00.

I have attached the following documents as proof of your mistake:

(1)  A copy of the front and back of my cancelled check in the amount of $160.00;
(2)  A copy of my June statement with the incorrect $60.00 payment notation circled in red.

Please investigate this matter and correct the billing error as soon as possible. Thank you.

Sincerely,

John Doe

Re:  Account of John M. Doe; Account Number 12345678910

Dear Sir or Madam:

I have just received my August 2019 statement and noticed that the billing error I reported to you last month has still not been corrected.  I sent you a certified letter on July 16, 2019 informing you that you did not properly credit my account.  A copy of that letter and my certified mail receipt proving you received my first letter are attached to this letter.

Once again, I an informing you that I sent you a payment of $160.00 in June, 2019, yet, you credited my account for only $60.00.   I have once again attached copies of the following documents as proof:

(1)  A copy of the front and back of my cancelled check in the amount of $160.00;
(2)  A copy of my June statement with the incorrect payment amount circled in red.

Please comply with the Fair Credit Billing Act and correct your mistake as soon as possible.  I have better things to do with my time than send you certified letters.  If this error is not corrected on my next statement, I am going to report the matter to the proper regulatory agency.

Sincerely,

John Doe
