I recently ordered a copy of my credit report and discovered that you have placed 30 and 60-day late payment notations on my student loan accounts.

I have attached a copy of a student loan deferment form (or unemployment form) signed and dated by a representative of your company. This form clearly shows that this loan has been in deferment status since (date) and that the late payment notations are in error.

I am requesting that you immediately remove these late payment notations from my credit report as they are causing me grievous harm, not only in my ability to obtain financing, but in my ability to obtain employment.

I am also requesting that you inform me in writing when you have updated this information with the credit bureau(s) to whom you subscribe and provide me with an estimate as to when these notations will be deleted from my credit report. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

I recently ordered a copy of my credit report and discovered that late payment notations appear on my student loan accounts serviced by your company.

Although I was delinquent in the past on my student loans, I am trying to keep current. It is difficult for me to do this at my current salary. I have been trying to find a higher paying job, but employers with whom I interview lose all interest in hiring me soon after I give them permission to pull my credit report. I believe I am losing out on employment opportunities as a result of the student loan late payment notations on my credit report.

Although I understand that these negative notations can remain on my credit report for up to seven years, I am requesting (and hoping) that you will remove the negative notations as soon as possible as they are hindering my ability to find employment. Thank you for your time and consideration.
