Save Money with Freebies and Giveaways

Visit retailers' and restaurants' Twitter and Facebook pages regularly to find free stuff. Retailers and restaurants use Facebook and Twitter to announce sales, freebies, and giveaways.  “Like” them at Facebook and follow them on Twitter to receive regular notifications of savings opportunities. Some restaurants will give you free drinks or appetizers if you know a secret word that was posted on their Facebook or website page that morning.   For example:

  • Starbuck’s often offers 50% off its coffee products during certain times of any month

  • Kroger gives away free product samples and a coupon for a free product every week at Kroger.com/promotions

  • Baskin and Robbins will give you a free scoop of ice cream on your birthday.  Ben & Jerry’s gives away free ice cream on occasion, including Mother’s and Father’s Day. You can find out where else you can eat free on your birthday at EatFreeOnYourBirthday.com or search “birthday freebies” on Twitter to find birthday giveaways

  • 7-11 gives away a free Slurpee to every customer on July 11th, which is “7-11”

  • Chick-fil-A will give you a free meal if you dress up like a cow on Cow Appreciation Day

  • Cinnabon, Chili’s, Teavana and P.F. Chang’s give away free food on certain days

  • Many restaurants will give away free appetizers on Mother’s and Father’s Day

  • Find out which restaurants let children eat free all the time at MyKidsEatFree.com or download the Out To Eat With Kids apps to get a list of what restaurants are offering free or discounted meals for children or visit websites FriendlyAmerica.com and CouponDivas.com to find lists of restaurants that allow kids to eat free
